The Prospective Cadet

You have a child interested in Civil AIr Patrol. There are a few steps you should take to inform yourself and your child about CAP Cadet Programs.

First what does Cadet Membership in Civil Air Patrol mean for both you and your cadet?

The mission of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program is to provide the youth of our nation a quality program that enhances their leadership skills through an interest in aviation, and simultaneously provide services to the United States Air Force and the local community.

When you choose to begin your cadet career in Civil Air Patrol, you are choosing to become a part of something that will be a part of you for the rest of you life. Cadets learn the CAP Core Values: Integrity, Volunteer Service, Excellence, Respect and are expected to integrate them into their decision making.

Meet the Squadron Commander and the Deputy Commander for Cadets

After the meeting, talk with your child about the meeting.

Once you and your child have made the decision to join CAP complete a CAPF 15 - Application for Cadet Membership in Civil Air Patrol.
